How Your Personal Brand Affects Your Business Brand

“What is your personal style? How does it effect your sales?” A speaker posed this question at an eWomen’s Conference ( that I attended. Strong thinking material. She talked about the popularity of the TV series, Sex in the City, being magnetic to the audience because of the relationships between the main characters. Those TV characters were defined or branded in such a way that we could all relate to one of them. They each had their own style, personality and appeal.

Are you recognized when you walk into a room? Does your style shine through? What have you tried to make your personal brand unforgettable? Share your tips below.

  1. My husband & I run a small vintage bike shop. I wear my “uniform” just about everywhere – a logoed t-shirt, polo, winter jacket, or sweatshirt with matching earrings and/or necklace in our logo colors of orange & lime. On my winter work coat (and non work coat) I wear motorcycle shaped pins. And I always have my business card on hand no mater where I go. That’s how I’m a walking billboard.
