Thanks Christine…I called the DC chapter and made an appointment with Fred Glave. Also, DC chapter (may be Anne Dobson?). I will keep you updated.

Brigitte:
You have the power–ask for a good match. Anne Thompson is in DC and has a deep marketing background. She can really help you delve into the best marketing approaches.
Fred Glave is the Chair of SCORE in D.C. He’s a great guy, you can call & have Fred connect you with a good mentor match.
SCORE’s advisors have deep subject & industry knowledge–you can tap into that.
On approaching, Oprah for the show–you must go through the producers. For a product, submitting a sample for her favorite things is a great approach. And, just as your theme is related to President Obama. Oprah is an Obama supporter.
Hope that helps as a start.
You can do it!

Receiving general feedback from Score is great, but unable to find a counselor whom would help me at a deeper level – taking it to another level.
Also, I would like to learn if there is a special tip to get your product on national TVs or into Oprah’s hand. Thank you

Unique is a good start. And, I think getting some feedback and talking over your idea will help you refine it.

Hi Christine,
I have this unique idea and was recently featured in the Washington Post Magazine…would like to get feedback from mentors if this is viable and should I begin branding my product?
Thanks and I look forward to hearing back from you.
