    Great article. I would also recommend keeping in mind the articles by Disaster Recovery Today

    My favorite is one about Mitigation Planning and how FEMA helps with funding for the same. I believe all communities should take advantage of FEMA’s funding.

    Very good reading! Thanks for the information.

    With some experience in disaster relief, I can tell you that it is truly amazing to see how hard it can be for communities to recover after the devastation caused by a major hurricane. It is tough for any community to recover, but this recovery is mpade so much harder for rural and outlying communities because they do not receive post disaster relief as quickly as larger communities nor do they receive the same media attention. A perfect example of this is Hurricane Katrina and the hard hit coasts of MS & Al.

    These are just a few of the reasons I choose to support organizations like Portlight Strategies.
